Search files

Select Version of EA Desktop:

The main reasons for searching files are to view information, edit information or add items from the grid to a Data Request.

For a basic view of seismic records, click the and use the Select a new search option. The results display within the Search tab. For more details, refer to Use custom searches.

To manipulate the data or collect more detailed information, use the module search next to File in the navigation panel. This option opens the results within the File module.

To search and open files in the File module:

  1. Click the search icon next to File in the Navigation panel to open the search window.

  2. Select the appropriate search and the search window opens.

  3. Enter your filter values and click Search. The search filters vary depending on the search setup.

    The results open in the File module. The File Properties grid displays the available information for each file. The Related Records tabs display associated information.
